Rosa is the Director of Partnerships and Engagement at the UChicago Consortium. She leads the UChicago Consortium’s strategic collaboration efforts in our research-practice partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and engages with a broad range of stakeholders to support the impact and use of Consortium research for improving practice and policy. This includes families of CPS students; teachers and school administrators; local and national education nonprofits; local, state, and national policymakers, and others.
Prior to joining the UChicago Consortium, Rosa served as the Director of Chicago Programs and Policy at Healthy Schools Campaign, where she successfully successfully collaborated with and engaged diverse stakeholders to lead effective policy change campaigns in support of education policies and practices that improve the health and well-being of all students and reduce disparities in learning outcomes and health that stem from structural systems of historical oppression and discrimination.
Rosa is passionate about integrating health and equity into education policy and practice, lifting up community-driven solutions, and fostering authentic community and cross sector collaboration. In her spare time, Rosa enjoys trying new recipes, taking family adventures and cultivating her love of reading to her three young children.
