UChicago Consortium is seeking a Senior Research Analyst with strong quantitative research skills that will inform policy and practice and a passion for doing meaningful work to help schools become more equitable. This position may work on both ELDG and other Consortium projects. The Senior Research Analyst will be able to serve as principal investigator on studies, developing research plans, carrying them out, working with a team, writing results, and presenting findings. The successful candidate will have a commitment to urban education, be deeply curious, and be willing to learn new methods and topics. The Consortium is particularly interested in candidates with experience in quasi-experimental methods and expertise in measurement in the areas of social emotional learning, adolescent development, academic motivation, psychometrics, or measurement of student experience/learning conditions. Working in interdisciplinary and cross-methodological contexts is a plus.

The Senior Research Analyst position requires someone who is able to independently handle multiple concurrent tasks and work in a highly collaborative environment. The Senior Research Analyst will demonstrate expertise with conducting rigorous analyses of quantitative data and will have opportunities to share findings and work with other scholars and researchers, non-profit leaders, school practitioners, district administrators, and local policymakers. The ideal Senior Research Analyst candidate has experience successfully conducting and completing independent research, demonstrating strong communication and project administration skills, and demonstrating cultural literacy in their work. This position is in-person for the first six months and has an option to be hybrid after six months.
