Nick grew up in East Texas and received a BS in Liberal Studies (music and science) from Texas A&M University - Commerce. He was fortunate enough to work as a drum instructor at CISD and privately for three years, as well as do freelance work as an orchestral percussionist, jazz vibraphonist, and hard rock/blues drummer.

Nick has just finished his first year at the Harris School of Public Policy, where he is pursuing an MS in computational analysis and public policy, and will return to his studies in October of 2019. Currently he is an Applied Data & Governance Fellow for the International Innovation Corps, which has brought him to the UChicago Consortium.

In his free time, Nick enjoys vinyasa yoga, cooking, doing musical things, and volunteering with non-profits and government agencies.
