Nick Mader

Nick Mader is working with the UChicago Consortium to investigate school disciplinary policies and practices, towards quantitative evidence of how schools cluster into distinct approaches, how disciplinary context influences learning climate, and thereby quality of instruction, and thereby student achievement. Nick's position at Chapin Hall brings a focus on youth out-of-school experiences and outcomes to this work. Mader is a Senior Researcher at Chapin Hall and co-organizer and research director of the Integrated Evaluation Project for providers of out-of-school youth services in Chicago. His key interests are in use of linked administrative to coordinate city and non-profit investments towards the development of disadvantaged, urban youth.
