Micah Daniels

Micah has diligently worked toward promoting equity and centering student voice. With a background in working closely with both students and administrators, Micah has sought to reach specific goals aimed at enhancing school systems. Her work includes continuing the development of the Cultivate survey, a tool designed to gather critical student perspective data to inform decision-making and drive improvements in classroom learning conditions and outcomes. Micah also conducts data analyses that contributes to the creation of resources and professional learning for educators and school leaders, helping them understand their school’s needs and aid in implementation of evidence-based strategies for success, centering the experiences of students. As part of the Learning and Development Group, Micah is part of a team that aims to work alongside a diverse set of community partners and educational stakeholders in order to nurture the development of young people and promote meaningful change. Whether working directly with students or providing strategic support to educators, Micah is deeply committed to creating equitable learning environments that ensure all students can thrive. Micah is endlessly inspired by her historical heroes James Baldwin and bell hooks. She likes to spend her free time reading, writing, spending time with friends and family and delving into different arts and crafts.
