Jessica Thompson was a Project Manager for the Equitable Learning and Development Project (ELDP), a three-year collaborative project between the UChicago Consortium, CASEL, and the National Equity Project. As the ELDP Project Manager, Jessica worked to strengthen the work and impact of the ELDP’s equity-based investigation of the tools and policies needed to create more equitable learning environments for students. Before joining the UChicago Consortium, Jessica worked as a Project Manager at Center on Halsted, the largest LGBTQ community center in the Midwest. There she utilized her expertise in racial justice research analysis in service of Center on Halsted’s organizational change efforts. Jessica is critically dependent on weekly servings of gooey butter cake ice cream from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. She has traveled to over 25 countries and hopes to run her first half-marathon in Dublin very soon.
