Chen An is the Managing Director of Statistics and Analysis at the UChicago Consortium on School Research. She provides research and technical support to projects and facilitates the research findings review process. She believes in the power of using rigorous research to drive key decision-making in education to ensure that every student thrives. Prior to joining the UChicago Consortium, Chen worked at Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Florida serving as a Senior Director of the Research, Accountability and Grants Office to supervise the Research and Evaluation department and the Test Development and Measurement department. She also previously worked at Boston College as a research assistant in the evaluation team to gauge the effectiveness of the City Connects intervention. She is an alumna of the Harvard Strategic Data Project fellowship. Chen spends her free time watching movies and building Legos. She is also an old-fashioned gamer exclusively focusing on single player role-playing games.
