Teachers' reports about the extent to which they are able to use technology, including computers, the Internet, and e-mail, in the classrooms. High levels indicate more extensive availability of technology for teachers.

Definition of Categories Charted Above

Category	Teachers in Chicago Public Schools report that they:
1 None	do or do not have access to a computer in the school. They do not have access to e-mail or the Internet in the school.
2 Basic	do have access to a computer, e-mail, and the Internet in the school. They do not have computers in the classroom.
3 Good	do have access to a computer, e-mail, and the Internet in the school. They do have computers in the classroom but they do not have Internet or e-mail capability in the classroom.
4 Excellent	do have access to computers, e-mail, and the Internet in the school and in the classroom.
