Kylie Klein

Kylie Klein was the Director of Research Operations at the UChicago Consortium. Prior to joining the UChicago Consortium, Kylie spent 10 years in district administration at the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). During her tenure with CPS, she held a variety of leadership roles in the Offices of Accountability and Special Education. In her most recent position, she led the Research Review Board and oversaw all research and program evaluations conducted in the district including large scale federal grants. She also supported the district's three primary research practice partnerships. While with the district she conducted several key applied research projects, including a teacher survey on the implementation of the Common Core State Standards and a study of effective supports for college readiness. She began her career as an elementary school teacher in Paterson, NJ as a Teach for America corps member. Klein serves as a member of the National Network of Research-Practice Partnerships (NNERPP) Steering Committee and as a reviewer on the Museum of Science and Industry’s IRB. Kylie is an avid reader who is curious about everything. She loves that she gets to read all of Consortium's research reports before they officially come out!
